I've been a photographer since 2011, with a focus on elopements and weddings since 2015. I believe elopements and small, intimate weddings are the best way to celebrate marriage. It's fun, unique, romantic, and most importantly, an intentionally crafted way to celebrate your love. As an aquarius, I'm here for everything BUT the traditional. As your photographer and guide, I'm here to encourage you to have a marriage experience that feels like you. We don't exist to copy others. We're here to dream up our own unique experiences - including how we choose to get married.

I'm Caitlin. your new friend & dream guide!

Your Arkansas Wedding + Elopement Photographer

HEY FRIEND, I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE HERE.

We're going to make magic together. I can't wait to meet you!

Planning a wedding or even an elopement can be hard. With over 10 years of experience in photographing marriage, I noticed how much stress can be put on you while you plan. I don't just take photos for you. I help you find the other vendors you need, I tell you about the area you're visiting, I give you lodging and venue recs, I'll help you figure out where to get married and what date if you don't even know that yet. This is supposed to be a fun experience, not a part-time research job. And if you're having a lowkey day? I'll sign your marriage license, too! You don't have to worry about finding a whole other person to travel to the middle of nowhere to do that for you. Couples literally have my name saved as "fairy photog-mother".

The way I create your gallery is a blend of candid and editorial. I want your day to feel authentic, but still dreamy af. Things will naturally unfold throughout your day, but I'll be there to softly guide and direct when you need me. When it comes to your portraits, I love to start you off with prompts or activity ideas so you guys can have fun interacting with each other and your environment. As you get more comfortable, we get more into the model-level posing. 90% of my couples come to me nervous about taking photos, feeling like they won't know what to do with their hands. 100% of them get galleries that make them feel like a bad bitch.

Shooting Style

I live in Arkansas with my husband, Jake, and our spoiled corgi, Kota. I spend my free time rock climbing, antiquing, and thinking about my next adventure. I've always been a creative and knew I'd someday end up in a creative career, but never imagined I'd be an elopement and intimate wedding photographer traveling all over the globe to document love stories. It's been a wild ride to get here, but I've truly found my life's purpose with this business of mine.

How to Leave No Trace

While re-defining who I was as a creative in 2020 and building a new brand that was truly me, I experienced so many serendipitous moments that encouraged me I was on the right path. I had always been drawn to celestial elements and the night sky because of my late grandparents, who made my childhood feel magical. My grandmother was one of my biggest creative supporters and I owe a lot of my imagination to her. I chose to memorialize them through one of my favorite childhood memories - their moonflower garden. I loved watching the flowers bloom at night and looking up for the moon just as the flowers did. My grandpa once gave me a jar of Luna moth cocoons so I could watch them morph and release them back into the garden. That memory is one I love because of the parallels of growing up and changing into the creative I am today, somebody neither of my grandparents got to meet, but I know they would be proud of.

While I worked on this re-brand for a year, I uncovered so many things about the Beaty name and my late grandparents. I learned that my grandparents both had worked at NASA during the Space Race, my grandfather actually took part in building the shuttle we sent to the moon! I discovered a book online written by a distant relative about the Beaty family tree that goes back from my dad to the original Beaty brothers who came to America from Ireland. I learned that the Beaty's followed a motto that loosely translates to "May we follow celestial inspiration" and carried a crest with a moon and stars. All these connections reassured me I had finally found myself as a creative. I've since become known as the photographer with the 'dreamy vibes', which is exactly how I want people to remember their big day. A dream come to life.
